OUR MISSION
As the Parent, Teacher, and Student Organization of North Forsyth
High School, we pledge to provide for our students, faculty, administrators,
families, and facilities from a triangle of support.
Firstly, we will foster a positive atmosphere by facilitating communication between
parents and teachers, teachers and students, and students and parents. In high school, there are so many
wonderful groups and activities that a sense of community can become a
challenge. It can be difficult for
parents, teachers, and students to gain a mutual perspective without a means to
communicate and “get the word out.”
We desire to provide a forum for communicating and celebrating all that
encompasses Raider Life!
Secondly, we will support students and faculty with
volunteerism. The benefits of volunteerism are
reciprocal. Parents can alleviate
extra burdens from administration and teachers while gaining a vested interest
in the success of their children’s overall education. Students are more confident when they
know their parents are actively involved in their environment. Also, volunteerism supports morale as
it reflects a better understanding of the parent and teacher roles. We believe this is intrinsic to
Raider Spirit!
Thirdly, we will provide
financial support for areas not reached by government funding. PTSO fund-raising is essential for
the “extras.” From awards and
celebrations to equipment improvements and special events, capital investments
by PTSO will help to give our students and faculty the advantages that will
promote NFHS as the superior school we know it to be. We want to promote Raider Pride!
